ABOUT TNEB-AE EXAM:
Tamilnadu electricity board combined with Tamilnadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) & Tamilnadu Transmission Corporation Limited (TANTRANSCO) has released the notification to invite Assistant Engineer posts for Electrical, Mechanical and Civil departments for the year 2020.
VACANCY DETAILS:
TNEB Department has announced 600 vacancies for the Assistant Engineer (AE) post.
1. Assistant Engineer Electrical– 400 Posts
2. Assistant Engineer Mechanical– 125 Posts
3. Assistant Engineer Civil– 75 Posts
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Candidates should have completed Bachelor Degree in Engineering (EEE/ECE/EIE/CSE/IT/Mechanical/Civil) (OR) A Pass in AMIE (Sections A and B) Under Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering Branch.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Candidates should possess the following qualification.

ONLINE EXAMINATION (CBT):
The question paper for ONLINE EXAMINATION (Computer based test) will be of Objective type in the Engineering standard. For Electrical Engineering it will be in English and for Mechanical and Civil it will be in English as well as Tamil.
SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
The mode of examination will be online and it will consist of a single paper with 100 MCQs with time duration of 2 hours.
